Scotland and FLORIDA! Guest appearance by Lorena

How's it going folks?! I don't really know who reads Cassandra's blog or if I've met any of you but my name is Lorena. I've known Cass since 2010, when we met at Woodward, the camp that we work at in California. I skateboard, she rollerblades. Luckily we saw past our differences and became great friends. Enough about me! My task was to do a guest post and tell you about her time in Scotland based on the pictures she took and stories she's told. So here goes!
*Lorena left before finishing her assignment, so some of the descriptions are by me. Way to not follow through, Lorena! I'll put a * next to mine so it's less confusing ;)

Cass and Ashley take a selfie! Ashley is a BMX-er from Scotland that also works at the summer camp we work at.
Either this is a very comfortable ground or Ashley passed out. I'm going to go with the first.
*She's absorbing the Scotishness of the ground...duh!

Men in scotland wear skirts. Not all of them. But some. Like this guy!
*Exploring Edinburgh with Ashley was a blast! Here are few pics around town.

"I know how to use chopsticks," said Cass. At least that's what I think she's saying. She's either saying that or "I can eat a lot of food!"
*Those were both our dishes, gosh!

 *Tram parties!
*Ashley tried "off roading" over a parking lot median...It obviously went well.
* Adorable dog!
A whole aisle for Yogurt!! Wow! I wonder if this store also has an aisle for just cheese. I would love to go there if they had a whole chocolate aisle.
A clydesdale is a horse, right? I dub Scotland 'Land of the Horses.' A few horse pictures to follow.
Having a horse means having to pick up poop.
Sebastien! This is Ashley's horse! I hear he's a great jumper.

All I can say about this picture is: BRRR!! I feel cold just looking at all those layers!
*"I can cling to horses!"
*Ashley and Seb before a jump competition.
*The local park near Lauren was fun! We got to skate it before it opened so it was always empty and just for us which was amazing!
Let it go! Let it go! I bet ashley started singing the frozen song right after the picture was taken.

*Wrong! Cass here, this is in Glasgow with my last host of the trip, Lauren. And yes, she did sing Let it go often, as any sane person should. She was an amazing host and I'll be seeing her in Florida come March :)*

*Her adorable cat. We were friends.

* Amazing park. That is all.
The sun! The sun! Cass tells me that there wasn't much sun while in Scotland, so I can only imagine that this was a big deal.

*I finally made it home to surprise the family early for thanksgiving and there was a bit of rain. Here's what used to be our yard...underwater!
After being away for such a long time, I'd say Cass is glad to be back home, unpack and sleep in her own bed.
After so long away from home and the people I love, I'm so happy to be back! I've been back a month and it has been a whirlwind of holidays, parties, work, dinners, and bonding. Sorry I took so long on the last post! You'll have to sit tight for a while until my next big adventure! Any questions on how I travelled on a budget, visas, wwoofing, couch surfing, etc, just shoot me a message!

Goodbye for now!
