Paris Couch #1

My first stay in Paris has been great! I stayed with couchsurfers, Nicolas and Fabienne, who were absolutely amazing!
They are such amazing hosts and they know so much history of Paris that they shared with me.
We met at the Rotonde on Friday night and Nicolas and I met Fabienne at their flat. After dropping off my luggage, we went to a restaurant with friends for dinner. It was wonderful! After, we headed back to the flat and talked until bedtime, we needed our rest for the 6 hours of exploring we would do on Saturday!
Their city hall was pretty impressive...
Notre Dame was too long of a line, so I'm going back on a week day. I looked everywhere for Quasimodo and Esmeralda but I didn't see them...
Notre Dame from across the water
There was roller derby practice going on!
I saw the famous lock bridge, the locks are so heavy that they're breaking the barriers. The city is replacing them with plexiglass...it's a shame! Maybe they can move it to another location...
The Louvre! I'm going to spend an entire day there, but just look at the size!
I thought about driving one of these cars but I decided against it since I can't drive stick and riding a bike in Paris is fast enough for me ;)
Cool obelisk
We walked down the famous Champs Élysées and saw the Arc de Triomphe!
And we climbed up the Arc and enjoyed the view
I could see a certain structure from the top
This road to the tower had kids skateboarding and rollerblading down it, we watched for a bit :)
We had to head back to the flat right after because the rain was coming!
This is right before it poured! It was fun riding through Paris in the rain haha
Sunday we went on a walk that followed a river that was used in Paris until they covered it. Eight of us went and it was a fun time. I took photos of some of the cool street art around.

This skull is on exhibition from the United States!

I was only with Fabienne and Nicolas for the weekend, but they really made me welcome. Nicolas is at work but just messaged me information to help me get a bike pass. Thanks so much, you two!

Here's the photos from after they went to work
Saw the Moulin Rouge
Montmartre
Street art

I hope to meet with them again while I'm here :)

Last week with the family

I can't believe I'm not on the last farm anymore! I'll miss the family a ton. Here's the last few photos with them. Get ready for lots of Paris photos on the next post!

The letter I wrote them :)
Ema ate ice cream the size of her face! She didn't need any help either haha
Beautiful sunrise
Jerome and I unloaded hay. Lots and lots of hay!
And then we moved lots of wood for winter haha
And then it was time to go :(
And I ended up at the Rotonde in Paris to meet up with my first couch surfing hosts, Fabienne and Nicholas, who are awesome!

Bordeaux

This everything from besides the skating in Bordeaux :) I thought it uploaded already! Oops!

My trip to Bordeaux was great! I mostly skate but I touristed it up day two :) These pictures have to hold you over until I make the edit from skating yesterday with Marta and Guilluame :)))

This is how all skate days should start in France.
Rainbows!
This founding is super cool...and right next to a circus that was in town! I really wanted to go, but it was just for a school event in the morning. The next one was after my train :(
But I walked around the outside and saw some camels, lions, elephants, and llamas!
Then I visited a bunch of churches, like I always do. They're so ooooold.
A bunch of kids were building houses out of cardboard boxes in front of the church
On the other side was a class in writing with fancy fonts? Obviously, I'm not sure on that...
Then I went to the museum for free because they're register wasn't working right a t that time ;)
And joined another tour group ;) and here are a few photos I took from the museum. It was really nice!
Dum dum
'Live free or die' if this sword was made now, I'm fairly certain it would just say'yolo'...
